Reba McEntire has entered yet another amazing stage of her career as she took over Blake Shelton’s coaching chair on NBC’s The Voice Season 24, which premiered on September 24 with rave reviews. Reba’s career began in the 1970s in Nashville after being spotted by “cowboy singer” Red Steagul singing the National Anthem at a rodeo in her native Oklahoma. She was signed to a record deal, and the rest is what they say is “history.” Reba’s “history” includes selling in excess of 75 million albums worldwide.

Reba isn’t just a country icon and superstar but also an actor who had her own show (Reba) in the early 2000s. She’s also starred in many roles. Reba has been a hero for many of country music’s biggest stars today, including multiple award winner Lainey Wilson. Wilson recently shared a special moment on Instagram when she posted her meeting Reba McEntire backstage at June’s CMA Fest in Nashville.

In the video clip Lainey posted, Wilson said as Reba approached her, “I’m gonna cry.” The two women shake and hold hands, as Wilson says. “You mean so much to me. You have, you have for real.” Reba says, “Thank you. Well, congratulations on everything you’ve been doing. I’m just so proud of you.”

Lainey captioned the sweet video clip, “Y’all…what even? This was one of those pinch-me moments. I am such a fan of @reba as not only an artist but just for the incredible person she is…talk about a dream come true. #reba #cmafest.”
